Also for this 2024 theSnai San Siro racecourse hosts the School Project #discoversiro for the little ones, visit Delivery to Italy takes one or two business days open to students primary and lower secondary schools in Milan and Lombardy inside the historic equestrian facility of sports square 16. It is about 4 edition from 2018 to today (the initiative was not possible in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic) which welcomed over 3000 students and teachers from Milan, Lombardy and outside the Region.

The first institute to begin this year's project cycle, which unfolds from March to the end of May and then from the end of September to the end of November, was the'Luciano Manara' Comprehensive Institute of via Lamennais in Milan with two 3rd grade classes for a total of 49 pupils accompanied by four masters.

In previous editions the Schools in Milan who participated in the project were:

  • 'Ercole Ferrario' Primary School in Milan;
  • 'Iqbal Masih' Comprehensive Institute of the Valdagno complex in Milan;
  • 'Giuseppe Calasanzio' Comprehensive Institute of the Monte Baldo complex in Milan;
  • Public Elementary Schools 'G. Lombardo Radice' of Milan;
  • 'Sandro Pertini' lower middle school comprehensive school in Milan;
  • 'Santa Giuliana' school in Milan;
  • 'Luciano Manara' State Comprehensive Institute of Milan.

Il School Project#discoversiro for the little ones' was born from an idea of Snaitech, a company that owns the Snai racecourses in Milan San Siro e The Maura (he was born in Sezana of Montecatini Terme). The trip offers a educational path game divided into stages told by one expert guide which accompanies the little visitors to the discovery of history and natural wonders of the galloping racecourse inaugurated in 1920

On the tour you can admire the entrance facade in perfect Liberty style,  stables to admire the racing horses and finally the Leonardo's horse, the largest equestrian statue in the world. These are the attractions kept inside a naturalistic site in which the gallop tracks and Botanical Park with dozens and dozens of shrubs and plants all labeled with their names in Italian, Latin and the country of origin. In the middle of this excursion it is possible to stop for packed lunch break in the shadow of Leonardo's gigantic horse placed in the center of a well-kept and fenced garden. 

'#discoversiro for the little ones' it is a unique experience of its kind and includes a calendar of visits always scheduled at Thursday, starting from 9:00 until 12:00 (with packed snack at 11:00), for a maximum of 60 participants (2 or 3 classes at a time).
