(Jamma) – Attorney Marco Ripamonti with the law firm in Viterbo and Florence, regarding the complaint presented by Codacons, stated the following:
“The gaming and betting sector represents an inevitable and important reality for the Treasury, but we must not forget how this sector must be combined not only with public order requirements, but also with a minimum of protection towards consumers and above all weaker groups. I fully agree with Codacons' initiative regarding advertising relating to shopping linked to gambling winnings. I believe that this is an extremely treasonous message against the citizen and highly dangerous. Those who manage to conceive such sneaky advertising messages should take personal responsibility and come out in the open, rather than remain behind the scenes. Certain advertising messages should embarrass those who propose them, while I understand that by now the drift of the Italian state in the gaming sector is really out of control. I hope that the Public Prosecutor's Office will be able to shed light on the case and prosecute those responsible".
