Now the break and then big news from July 11th

An important day forSnai La Maura Racecourse, That of Thursday April 25. The trotter from via Lampugnano 95 opened its gates to enthusiasts for the last day before the break which will then see the restart onJuly 11th with the 20th season.

A high-level conference is on stage, obviously with the Ettore and Mario Barbetta Grand Prix, Group III on the "French" distance of 2700 meters. Given the importance of the day, the victory of Boccadamo it is perhaps the ideal "icing", because the son of Ideale Luis had won this race twelve months ago and succeeded in granting an encore, confirming for the umpteenth time that these patterns and above all these distances are his preferred “habitat”. But to the praise on the proven qualities of the long distance rider Holger Ehlert's horse those for his interpreter must be added Robert Vecchione: the driver from Campania was perfect, as he had already been in Bologna on the occasion of his success in the Gp Vittoria and even more so in Florence, when he surprisingly led his student to stand out in the Premio Ponte Vecchio. Fast from the second belt, Boccadamo approached the pacesetter Cardoso Dr, still allowing him to set the pace and increasing the pressure only in the final 600: Boccadamo gave the impression of being able to pass already on the last curve, but with the coldness of a poker player Vecchione he stalled, thus leaving Vaprio in third wheel and above all keeping the horses closed to the rope: as soon as he was in line, the driver from Aversa urged his student who responded perfectly, flying towards the finish line to establish himself with an average of 1.14.5 on the 2700 meters. Hats off to the driver, to the horse and of course to Holger Ehlert, who with the standard bearer of Raffaele Chiaro always knows how to get to the top in the important events and in this amazing year has already collected three Gr.3 victories. Vaprio was also excellent, on his return and on his return in sulky after having tried his hand at riding in the hiver meeting. Caronte Trebi' was not helped by the progress: after giving way to his training partner Cardoso Dr, Fausto Barelli's pupil had to wait for the line to find the gap and finished strong, in line for second place with Vaprio. Dilva Jet also finished well in fourth place while the only penalized player Desiderio D'Esi was ousted in the initial phase.

The day opened with the victory of Furioso Bar in Homer Award: on Fausto Barelli's first training outing, the representative of the Regina Horses stable took the lead after 600 meters and continued calmly until the finish line, also because many opponents eliminated themselves at a gallop. For the winner, a new personal best of 1.14.5, while Farfuglia Gnafa' and Furtivo Prav finished in the squares, the only ones to complete the route.

What a ride Selleria Gavioli Award! Mainly thanks to Danielino, the only one with an advantage, who in defiance of the selective distance of 2700 meters decided to run away trying to exploit the 20 meter advantage over his rivals: Manuele Matteini's horse shot partial leg-cutters (600 in 43, km in 1.12.8. 1.56.5, mile in XNUMX) and was very expensive even in the slowest final quarter, but had to surrender to a superlative Demetrio, supported by a top condition already appreciated in recent outings and by the energetic guidance of Santino Mollo: Mauro Baroncini's pupil still had to use all his energies to complete the comeback over his very generous rival, reached and surpassed only in finish area with an average of 1.13.6 over 2720 metres. Honor of arms for Danielino, third place for Downtown As, while Cesare Amg was eliminated in the turnaround.

Tactical victory for the favorite (played) Flicka Star Ferm, which gave an immediate encore to Mauro Baroncini in Ball Award: with a pat on the lead, the Maharajah's daughter driven by Marco Stefani could juggle the partials at will, on the final half lap she was approached by Flor de Canela and on the straight line she pulled away just enough to control the situation and above all prevent the ambush Fergie to break free from his wake. Average of 1.16, with Flor de Canela in third place.

Il Zambezi Bi Award, the test for category C/E/G subjects entrusted to gentlemen, saw the success of the doubly penalized Greppi's Cannes with Matteo Zaccherini: fifth from the start, Enrico Stefani's mare sprung like a spring on the penultimate straight, had no difficulty clearing the pacesetter and a Dalila Bar exhausted by the external route and confidently sped towards victory with an average of 1.13.9 on 1690 meters. The sprint for second place was resolved by Zar dei Baba on Diva Ferm and Catwalk Pink.

The esteemed Far West Bi was the special observer in the Bravur Sund Award, the 2250 meter test for excellent 3-year-old horses: upon returning from the test on December 29, the son of Muscle Hill, after taking the lead, suddenly collapsed in the final 800 meters. Really bad performance, but evidently conditioned by some physical problem. Follia D'Esi promptly emerged from his wake, attempting to attack, but Mauro Baroncini's pupil could do nothing on the straight line. Fakir Roc, who also lost the moment and even a few positions following the decline of Far West Bi but then, well supported by Santo Mollo (with his second success), knew how to come back in the final. Average of 1.13.7 for Filippo Rocca's horse, which regained victory after a series of valid placings. Francesco Grif ran in clear progress on his first outing for Gennaro Casillo's training: a good finish by Follow Me D'Arc and Fidelis Dance, who were competing for fourth place, while Flash Np, recent winner of the Premio Italia Maschi, dropped straight after external path.

In Infant du Bossis Award was back to success Espresso Italy: liked in Turin in the chase after an error, Fausto Barelli's horse deserved it all by holding off Enzo Jet's assault in the very fast final 600 (in less than 42): despite the expense, Maharajah's son proceeded confidently, completing the km in 1.11.5 and clearly remained in front all the way to the end, with an average of 1.11.7, a previous personal demolition. Good second was Edison Veez, who was constantly ahead of the Casa Team in the 400 finals, while Enea SL finished a good fourth in push.

Fausto Barelli scored his third success of the afternoon in Moni Maker Award thanks to the favorite eletric Alky Di No: in the safe hands of Andrea Farolfi, the My Horse rider in command delivered an average of 1.13.9, never seriously threatened by her rivals. After an impasse in the 400m finals, the stationed England As returned well to second place, overtaking Eleonora Wind, who suffered an external rise in the 250m finals.

Now May and June without racing, but from Thursday July 11 it resumes with the 20th day of the season and with lots of news!
