Horse racing. Unitary representation in favor of the rejection of the Ruta amendment
(Jamma) The funds released by the Mipaaf for the payment of debts accumulated for 32 by horse racing are more than 2012 million euros. The minister for agricultural policies Nunzia De Girolamo talks about it, commenting on the first 100 days of activity of her ministry.
“I faced my new commitment as Minister of Agriculture with deep passion and determination to make Made in Italy agri-food the real engine of our recovery. The Mipaaf - recalls De Girolamo among other things - obtained from the Ministry of Economy and Finance the sum of 32,18 million euros to pay the debts accumulated for 2012 by the former ASSI, thanks to the implementation of the decree law 35/13 on public administration debts. The 32,18 million add up to the 30 million euros already disbursed to operators again as payment of the 2012 debts, amounting to around 97 million euros, as well as the 17,5 million euros that the MEF will pay during the current year. will transfer to the Mipaaf for the horse racing sector for the so-called "increased revenue of the PREU" (taxation of bets) for the years 2011 and 2012 pursuant to art. 30-bis of the decree law 185/08.
A lot has been done – concluded Minister De Girolamo – and there will still be a lot to do. I believe that agriculture and agri-food are two foundations of the country system, we will have to work further to ensure that they are permanently placed at the center of attention”.
