On Saturday 18 November in Turin the Italian trotting found itself in one of the most heartfelt and traditional events in the history of horse racing. The "Breeder's Festival" is the traditional meeting that Anact, the National Association of Trotting Horse Breeders, has always organized to pay homage to those many members who contribute with work, passion and investments to the extraordinary successes of Made In Italy products in the world.

In the splendid location of the Vinovo Racecourse, in the presence of local and regional authorities, during the convivial moment seasoned with excellent Piedmontese food and wine, the breeders of the champions on the track were rewarded, and the moment of the trade association was taken stock .

"This new Board of Directors of Anact, of which I am honored to be President, has managed in just ten months to give an impetus to renewal, and demonstrate cohesion and desire to support breeders and the Italian trotting. We did this by reorganizing the internal structure, and starting in a few months with both new initiatives and relaunching abandoned formats which, in addition to being foreseen by the statute, are a fundamental part of Anact's mission. I am thinking of the auctions, which were held in Rome and which had a market response beyond all expectations. I think of the magazine "Il Trottatore", edited and updated, I think of the new website, and last but not least the Anact Stakes Plus+ program, which has had great success in terms of participation. There is a lot of work, horse racing is not in an easy time in terms of resources, but the successes of our horses on all the tracks in the world demonstrate that trotting breeders do their part and must be supported”. Thus President Roberto Toniatti in his introductory speech, which also served as a prelude to an intense afternoon, during which the public was able to closely witness the parade of some of the best working stallions in Piedmont, and then enjoy the spectacle of the racing, with the dispute of the two finals of the Anact Stakes Plus+ Grand Prix.

Two rich trials worth 200.000 euros which crowned Filadonna in the females, a majestic filly with a regal genealogy, driven by the home favorite Gabriele Gelormini, a driver who emigrated to France as a young man where he became one of the best professionals on the circuit. In the males, however, the awards ceremony was all for the team of Pietro Gubellini, an internationally renowned Milanese driver, who drove Fargo Wise As to the finish line, an amazing young product of the La Serenissima, Ferruccio Savio and Leonardo Vastano breeding farms who had the courage to go all the way to the USA to buy the mother, give birth, grow and today see a jewel of power and quality triumph.
