All 'Snai Sesana racecourse of Montecatini Terme yesterday morning the 3rd edition of the 'Olympic Games of Valdinievole', which will see approximately two thousand students of the Primary schools e Medium di five municipalities with the institutes Chini Montecatini, Galileo of Pieve a Nievole, the Cavalcanti of Borgo a Buggiano,Andreotti of Pescia and Ferrucci Institute of Larciano.
This year too, therefore, the Montecatinese trotting racecourse owned by Snaitech will host the final stages of this beautiful educational and sporting event sponsored by Municipality of Montecatini Terme and the other Municipalities involved and born from the Councilor's idea Federica Rastelli need Luca Ferrante, as a uniting element after the restrictions related to Covid. Present at the press conference table, as well as Achille Del Minister for Snaitech, the mayor of Montecatini Terme, Luca Baroncini, the councilor with responsibility for educational services and training and social policies of the Municipality of Montecatini Terme, Federica Rastelli, the councilor for Sport and youth policies of Larciano, Davide Castani, James Galanda, captain of the national basketball team, silver medalist at the 2004 Athens Olympics and currently FIP Councilor, and Philip Laico for GS Eventi. The finals atSnai Sesana racecourse of Montecatini Terme are scheduled Monday May 27 (for primaries) e Wednesday May 29 (for middle schools) and only students of institutes who have passed the preliminary stages which are held in various sports centers and gyms in the respective municipalities.
Participants range from one age range of 6-10 years e from 11 to 13 years that they will try their hand at various sporting specialties, Which 5-a-side football, volleyball, 3-on-3 basketball, race (40 meters for primary schools, 60 meters for middle schools), relay race, vortex mini-weight throw and Olympic route (motor skills course among skittles, obstacles and circles).
To the effective realization of the event, in addition toSnai Sesana racecourse owned by Snaitech, also participate GS Events for the organization of the edition, the Coluccio Salutati sports high school of Montecatini Terme, the company Tau Calcio Altopascio with the support of Decathlon, Dynamo Sports for Dynamo Camp stands, Conad e Dife environmental services.
“Also this 3rd edition of Valdinievole Olympics it is deeply felt among the children of the various institutes – declared the councilor Federica Rastelli -, because in addition to fun, kids find the opportunity to try a sport and compete in a healthy way against their peers. The first edition was experienced as a sort of liberation because it arrived after the pandemic and our young people needed to go back to experiencing moments of leisure, sport and socialization with other classmates and students. This year too – continues Rastelli -, the event will include the initial torchlight procession with the parade of the various teams and then the preliminary phases and the finals, while at the end there will be space for the awards ceremony just like a real Olympics”.
