The Italian Equestrian Entrepreneurs ask for the intervention of Minister De Girolamo for the payment of the prize money

(Jamma) A speech is needed on a very important topic for the horse racing sector: the distribution of resources. To ask the Minister of Agriculture De Girolamo is Enrico Tuci of the Italian Horse Entrepreneurs of the Trot and Gallop.

“We ask ourselves – writes Tuci – why, in the face of a state budget which foresees a prize pool of 102 million Euros for 2013, only 43 million were distributed in the first half of the year, effectively cutting the trot prize pool by 28%?

Why aggravate the situation, made so dramatic by the delay in payments, by persevering in a sector that has continued to do its duty despite everything? Why was the whole sector never made aware of these additional cuts? Why was only the trot sacrificed? Why are the only horseracing operators the only ones in the sector who suffer cuts continuously, and in a subtle way?

This is yet another demonstration of the total lack of respect for those who honestly invest their resources in their work. We ask you for a detailed response and, if no factors unknown to date have intervened, the distribution of all the resources envisaged.

We trust in your highly appreciated intervention with the official in charge of the sector and in your commitment in favor of a radical reform of the sector that will completely free us from this deadly bureaucracy".
