Research confirms ICE Totally Gaming as the global center of gaming trade

Visitors to ICE Totally Gaming are encouraged to plan their exhibitor meetings in advance so as not to miss out on the huge commercial opportunities that are available at the London event. The note comes from a research conducted by Vivid Interface among the companies exhibiting in 2013. The study confirms that ICE London is the commercial capital of the international gaming industry. Research by Vivid Interface showed that exhibitors have an average of 52 business meetings at ICE, a figure which, applied to all 481 exhibiting companies, amounts to around 25.012 business meetings over the duration of the show. While the average number of meetings is equal to 52, 3% of the exhibitors interviewed had more than 200 business appointments in the three days of the fair.

Geoffrey Dixon, Managing Director of Vivid, said: “The research we have conducted confirms that ICE is the meeting place of choice for the international gaming community in its broadest sense. It is clear that exhibitors come to ICE with the intention of doing business and our sample showed that on average 28% of meetings end with a positive commercial result. ICE is simply too popular an event to stage risk-loss matches.”

Dixon added: “From my experience analyzing the entire exhibition industry, this level of commercial activity is very close to top of the line, with the combined value of deals agreed to ICE being worth many hundreds of millions of dollars. ICE is unique in that it is both business and information exchange."

The next appointment with ICE Totally Gaming 2014 will take place on 4 -5 and 6 February at ExCel London.
