At 11am today Minister of Masaf (Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry) Francesco Lollobrigida, together with other institutional personalities from the Veneto Region and the city of Verona, as well as the management of Veronafiere, cut the inauguration ribbon of the 125th edition of Fieracavalli, scheduled from the 9 12 November.
At 12.00, however, Lollobrigida opened to the public Pavilion 2 – Masaf, dedicated to the qualitative and quantitative improvement of Italian saddle horse and which bears the slogan: “The world of horses: tradition is future”. Inside there is an area dedicated to conferences and a competition field where equestrian performances, morphology and free trial competitions are scheduled. In pavilion 2 the precious one is also on display Marble equestrian statue from the XNUMXst century AD arrived from the Uffizi Galleries in Florence.
The Minister will present a wreath to the career in Varenne, the most successful Italian trotting horse ever and will reward the Italian driver Alexander Gocciadoro. The inauguration of the Masaf pavilion will close with other performances featuring Andalusian, Lipizzan, Arabian horses and the Agility dog. During the same day as today, from 17pm to 19pm, the Masaf pavilion hosts, among the many conferences, also the one on “Role of racecourses in the relaunch of the horse racing sector", in which the issues concerning the recovery of the structures and the reputational brand of the racecourses, the contribution of racing companies to the promotion of horse racing, the proposals for the reform of subsidies and the public-private partnership (PPP) for the modernization of racecourses. Among those present also the director of the Snaitech Racetracks Business Unit, Lorenzo Stoppini.
Horse iron will be followed throughout the day by the cameras of EQUtv, the Masaf television station visible in clear on channel 151 of digital terrestrial, on the 220 of the Sky platform and on 51 of tivùsat, with one television studio which will welcome not only connections and live TV broadcasts, but also i numerous guests and daily live connections with two troupes of traveling correspondents among the stands and the public present at the Fair, to discover and tell the whole wonderful world of the horse.
