BPlus is asking for 1,2 billion in damages from the state

(Jamma) A shocking request. A maxi compensation of 1,26 billion euros requested by the gaming company Bplus from the Minister of the Interior and the Prefect of Rome for having damaged the slot machine dealership founded by Francesco Corallo and which is now administered by a blind trust under English law . In the 50-page appeal signed by the Vinti e Associati studio, and of which ilmessaggero.it came into possession, the note with which the prefect speaks of the risk of mafia infiltration for Bplus is contested.

The story is linked to the investigations by the Milan prosecutor's office into the "easy" loans of the Bpm at the time led by Massimo Ponzellini. An investigation in which Francesco Corallo, the reference shareholder of the Slot Machine dealer, also ended up among the accused.

After the establishment of a blind trust in London, with which Corallo's destinies were separated from those of Bplus, the prefect of Rome has decided to "suspend" the anti-mafia ban until next May 30th. According to Bplus's lawyers, this suspension would be "illogical", as the danger of mafia infiltration "either exists, or it doesn't exist", while it is not conceivable that such risks could be suspended for a period of time. Furthermore, the disqualification allegedly lacks the prerequisites, as a connection between Corallo and the mafia organizations has never emerged, despite the numerous investigations.

In the appeal, the company's lawyers also complain about another circumstance. All the various directors of Monopoly, who oversee the world of games, which have followed one another over time, would have somehow lobbied for the sale of the company. For this reason, the annexes to the appeal to the TAR contain a series of telephone interceptions that emerged in various proceedings in which the heads of the autonomous agency spoke to various interlocutors about the fate of Bplus.

The anti-mafia interdiction, according to Bplus's lawyers, is causing considerable damage to the company. Damages quantified at 984 million euros, as regards the sale value of the concessionaire on the market, plus another 179 million euros of rights on the slot machines which should have been able to be exploited and amortized over the nine-year term of the concession, in addition to other 100 million euros for the damage to image suffered. The total claim for damages, as mentioned, is 1,263 billion euros.
