Holland. The Dutch Gaming Authority has imposed a fine of 900 thousand euros on MKC Limited for offering illegal gambling games. Dutch players were able to access online gambling at betworld247.com, owned by MKC Limited. MKC Limited is unauthorized and is therefore in breach of the Gaming Act.

“Visitors to the betworld247.com website may be able to create an account, log in and participate in online gambling games. No technical measures have been taken to prevent participants from the Netherlands from playing, such as an IP block. The age of the participating players was also not visibly verified,” the Dutch authority said.

René Jansen, president of the KSA commented: “On MKC Limited, players could introduce an age without clear identification. This means that their website is also accessible to underage players, therefore very vulnerable. This is serious and demonstrates once again that there seems to be little concern for player safety in the illegal market.
