Russia. He accepted bets for over 1 million euros a day, illegal site seized

(Jamma) The Russian police have taken steps to seize an illegal website that accepted bets with a turnover of 50 million rubles (over one million euros) a day, according to the Interior Ministry itself .

The organizers of this illegal casino had created this overseas registered website to engage the largest number of players, including minors. “In order to place a bet, the customer was assigned an individual counter deposit that could be replenished with various electronic payment systems and cards, and in case of victory, the normal customer could collect the winnings by going to one of the 900 agencies located throughout the area” reads the note from the Dicastery.

The organized group operated both on Russian territory, where it had more than 900 betting agencies, and abroad.
“According to initial estimates, the daily income of the organizers amounted to 50 million rubles,” the statement said.
"During the operation, the police seized server equipment with a database of players' personal data, notes and other documents," the statement said.
