The State Police has implemented a provision of suspension of activity for the duration of 7 days which the Catania Police Commissioner issued, in application of the art. 100 of the Consolidated Law of PS, against a betting collection point and food and drink supply point located in the city.
In particular, agents of the Central Commissariat carried out specific checks at the aforementioned public establishment and here they repeatedly detected the presence of subjects burdened by police records. These checks were carried out over a significant period of time, such as to suggest that the one identified was a habitual meeting place for convicted and dangerous people.
On the basis of the reports coming from the Central Commissariat, the Administrative Police Division of the Police Headquarters activated the investigation which, taking into consideration the data and investigations carried out by the policemen of the Commissariat, determined the Police Commissioner to adopt the provision in question.
