The second steering committee of the administrative twinning Strengthening capacities of Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH was held in Banja Luka. During the meeting, the report of the activities carried out in the last six months by ADM officials was approved and the planning of the next missions was agreed, which will be concentrated on bringing Bosnian customs legislation closer to the European one and on initiatives in the field of currency controls 
The study visit, focused on alcoholic products and manufactured tobacco, by a delegation led by the Excise director of Kosovo customs, ended at the ADM headquarters in Piazza Mastai in Rome. The technicians of the Excise Department illustrated, alternating theoretical lessons with practical sessions in the laboratory, the Italian best practices relating to: collection mechanisms, controls, fiscal policies, the traceability system, the functioning of tax warehouses, verifications of product conformity. These training activities responded to a request from the Kosovo customs administration, whose state budget is made up of revenues from excise duties which account for around a third of the total.
 
With this study visit, ADM confirms its commitment to supporting the customs of the Western Balkans, an area of ​​more strategic importance than ever for Italy's commercial interests.
“ADM is happy to make its knowledge and experience accumulated over decades of field work available to partner countries through international cooperation activities aimed, in line with the Government's guidelines, at the countries of the Western Balkans and the Maghreb” – as underlined by the director of the International Relations Office, Andrea Mazzella.
 
On April 4th the Director of the Agency, Cons. Roberto Alesse, at the invitation of the director of Albanian customs Genti Gazheli, will travel to Tirana together with the directors Andrea Mazzella, Luigi Liberatore and Paolo Valerio, representing the Anti-Fraud Directorate. 
During the visit, a plan of joint cooperation activities will be illustrated, developed by ADM, in coordination with the Guardia di Finanza, which includes, among other things, risk management topics, the sharing of good practices for carrying out intelligence operations customs, facilitation and support of trade.
