Even in the last days of last year, the Local police of Buccinasco (MI) has not reduced its presence in the area, but has actually intensified its presence prevention services with targeted checks in commercial activities and on public transport.
The operators concentrated on the shops where it is possible to purchase barrels and firecrackers, verifying their type, to ensure that they are allowed to be sold freely and that they are not given to children under 14 years of age.
With thewith the help of the canine units of the local police of Milan, the checks also involved parks, bars, betting rooms, beyond stops and buses to combat the use and dealing of narcotic substances. Several patrons already burdened by precedents have been identified in the premises: their presence will be reported to the Police Headquarters for the adoption of any measures also on the basis of the checks carried out by the other law enforcement agencies.
“There was also no shortage of the usual road traffic checks, especially in the evening hours – declares the mayor Rino Pruiti – but to these have been added more targeted services which have the aim of preventing illegal and degrading situations, such as checks in parks, verifying that local commercial activities comply with the legislation on the sale of products to minors (from firecrackers to alcohol) and to carry out activities to combat drug dealing and use among young people. Different and constant activities that combine prevention and repression services, with an increasingly qualified intervention capacity".
