Milan. Building regulations, Giunta approves resolution, new rules for gaming and betting rooms

(Jamma) After the discussion and listening phase with the Area Councils, professional orders, operators, cooperatives, trade unions, environmental and citizen associations, cooperatives, the Milan City Council last Friday approved the new Building Regulations. Among the main innovations there are also rules for gaming and betting halls far from schools, churches, parks and hospitals.

"The new Building Regulations approved by the City Council are the result of the work of listening and sharing that we have done in recent months with various souls of the city - declared the deputy mayor Ada Lucia De Cesaris-. We have listened to and accepted some of the comments that have been made and now we have finally defined the new rules which will not only allow complete implementation of the PGT, but will also guarantee greater attention and care for the territory, as well as improved efficiency of the administrative structure. Now the Building Regulations will be discussed with the councilors in the Commission and then in the City Council".

The main innovations of the new RE concern the rules for volumetric incentives for energetically redeveloped buildings, for historical assets and for private competitions; rules for the recovery of abandoned buildings; rules for gaming and betting halls far from schools, churches, parks and hospitals; streamlining and simplification of building procedures; update of the square footage for living quarters, bedrooms and bathrooms; mandatory inspection for buildings with at least 50 years of life; bicycles and children's games in the courtyards; rules for legality, anti-mafia and safety on construction sites.
