In line with the principles and objectives of the GAP Regional Plan which provides for actions aimed at preventing and combating addiction to pathological gambling (GAP), as well as the treatment and recovery of people affected by it, the Operational Unit Complex Ser.D. of the ASL of Pescara promoted the “Azzardo Piglia Tutto” project in collaboration with the Social Cooperative PARS “Pio Carosi” ETS Social Enterprise of Civitanova Marche (MC) and the LAAD Therapeutic Community of Pescara who were entrusted with the management of the same through an “Open procedure aimed at the awarding of Services”. At the headquarters of the Ser.D. of Pescara, in via Monte Faito, an Economic-Financial and Legal Advice Desk has been activated since the end of 2023 for patients and their families who wish to protect their savings and their standard of living. The desk is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 14pm to 30pm.
There is a lawyer on site for the analysis and management of the player's financial and debt situation and a social worker for family support and orientation to local services. Access to the desk is permitted by prior telephone appointment from Monday to Friday on 344 1316301 from 9:00 to 13:00 or on the landline number 085 4253532 from 9:00 to 14:00. There is no obligation or fee to pay and absolute confidentiality is guaranteed in compliance with current privacy legislation on professional secrecy and informed consent. Access to the desk also allows access to outpatient treatment programs at the Ser.D. or residential in Therapeutic Communities for gamblers, in the most serious cases.
The activity of this desk joins that of the GAP Desk of the Ser.D., already operating since 2021 and currently active at the premises of the Complex Primary Care Unit of Val Pescara (UCCP), in via Castellari 23, every Thursday from 9:00 to 13:00. The GAP desk is managed by the Ser.D. GAP team. and offers services aimed at the diagnosis and treatment of gambling disorder. Also in this case, access is direct and free by making an appointment by telephone on 085 4253532 (reachable from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 14:00).
