The Lucan lawyer's battle against gambling continues, asking the State to fight hard against instant lotteries (from «Scratch and win» to «Win for life»). In the complaint, the lawyer asks for the immediate withdrawal of all tickets, since in the vast majority of coupons it is not written that the game can be addictive.
«Tickets, therefore, to be collected immediately - says Vizzino - as occurs for any other type of goods that are found to be harmful to health. If it doesn't happen, I will contact the prosecutors, starting with those of Lagonegro, Potenza and Naples. Gambling is ruining entire families. The phenomenon is so rampant that according to Vizzino it is necessary to introduce a fund for the victims of gambling and to incentivize the support administrator.
Since January XNUMX of this year, the Balduzzi law provides that every instant lottery coupon must bear the warning that the game can create addiction.
«The problem - says Vizzino - is that 90 percent of the tickets do not have this warning. This is because the State Monopolies give an erroneous interpretation of the rules. In fact, the law says that from January XNUMX, every coupon must include the phrase warning that gambling can be addictive. The monopolies, on the other hand, argue that the obligation is only for lotteries held after that date". According to Vizzino, scratch cards offer only one real guarantee to the player: the loss of the ticket price. They should be called "Scratch and Lose", rather than "Scratch and Win", precisely because the only certainty is the banker's win, certainly not that of the player. Again, in fact, the odds are one in many millions that a player hits a big win».
