La Malta Gaming Authority announces that this year it will host the Annual Conference of the European Gambling Regulators Forum (GREF) in Malta.

Between 20 and 22 May, the prestigious event will bring together over 90 representatives from 35 Member States to discuss, exchange expertise and cooperate on emerging trends and challenges in the gaming sector.

King Warda, Chief Officer – Policy and International Affairs at MGA, said: “We are honored to have been chosen to host for the next annual GREF conference. This event presents a unique platform for regulators to come together, exchange knowledge and collectively address the evolving challenges in our industry. We look forward to welcoming esteemed regulators from across Europe to Malta, as we strive to further strengthen collaboration and drive regulatory excellence.”

Established in 1989, the GREF facilitates a constructive dialogue between regulators, representing different perspectives, while also acting as a central contact point for related authorities and organizations seeking insights from European gaming regulators.

In 2016, the MGA had organized a successful joint conference for GREF and the International Association of Gaming Consultants (IAGA). The conference brought together consultants and regulators from various global gaming sectors, offering a valuable platform for operators, suppliers, lawyers, investors, regulators and other consultants to convene and discuss the industry's critical challenges.
