(Jamma) There are 2.264 exercises checked and 563 violations contested, 184 illegal video poker machines seized while 203 irregular bet points were closed. Overall 290 people were reported.
This is the outcome of the work conducted by the Guardia di Finanza, with the collaboration of the State Monopolies, throughout the country in the gaming and betting sector, with particular reference to the fight against illegal and clandestine activities.
The alteration and tampering with gaming machines were the most widespread illegal phenomena, followed by the illegal collection of sports bets through clandestine agencies, also on behalf of foreign bookies without authorisation.
