In view of the new income tax campaign, the Gaming Authority of Spain (DGOJ) has enabled an email address where taxpayers who discover that someone is using their identity data to play online or after having received a communication from the AEAT can report the theft of data.

Through this email address, after appropriate checks, the DGGU will inform the interested parties of the steps they must take in managing complaints, so as to facilitate the work of prosecuting any crimes by the State Security Forces and Bodies.

Thanks to the action protocol coordinated with the State Police, the Guardia Civil and gambling operators in possession of an enabling qualification, action guidelines have been defined which will facilitate the entire process of accessing their data and, if necessary, reporting to interested parties.

The DGGU thus initiates a new line of action in its work to fight against fraud, in this case, aimed at fraud committed by people who register for online gambling using third-party data in order to obtain profits and avoid taxation of such profits in income tax.
