(Jamma) The Company of the Guardia di Finanza of Frosinone carried out an operation, conventionally called "ALEA", which led to the seizure of 5 illegal betting centers operating in the Ciociaria capital.
The operation, born following numerous telephone calls to the public utility number "117", by many citizens worried about the diffusion of illegal forms of gambling or betting, concerned the verification of the position of premises, widely advertised, but belonging to foreign bookmakers not authorized to operate on Italian territory, since they do not have the authorizations of the Autonomous Administration of State Monopolies and of the Quaestor of Frosinone.
5 betting centers and all the equipment used to carry out the unauthorized activity were seized, i.e. 10 personal computers, no. 8 printers, numerous receipts proving the bets made, as well as cash, the result of the bets made by the patrons in the hours preceding the interventions.
The managers of the unauthorized betting collection centers – all from Frosinone – were reported to the local Judicial Authority for the crimes of organizing and abusively operating public sports bets, gambling and non-compliance with the provision ordered by the PS Authority. In fact it emerged that the Quaestor of Frosinone, with specific provisions, had previously ordered the immediate closure of the businesses in question.
