The Minister of Sport and the Olympic and Paralympic Games participated on 5 October at the National Games Authority in the presentation of the monitoring system for cases of sports manipulation established during the Rugby World Cup, on the eve of the France-Italy match . At this stage of the competition no suspicion of manipulation was found. More generally, the ANJ presented actions implemented within the national platform and those involved internationally through the Copenhagen Group which it chairs.

Daily monitoring

In order to limit the risk of manipulation, the ANC College lists the authorized betting competitions and the list of permitted types of bets. Low-level competitions or more easily manipulated bets (for example, “Player X will receive a yellow card in a match” are not open for betting in France.

Furthermore, all gaming data from online operators is recorded, allowing the ANJ to detect atypical bets hidden in operators and abnormal odds. In case of serious and consistent evidence of manipulation, the President of the ANJ may decide to ban betting, in order to protect bona fide players and to prevent manipulative manipulation. In the vast majority of cases, these prohibition decisions are exchanged within the international network of national platforms to combat the manipulation of sports competitions.

The ANJ can inform on the monitoring of the national platform so that the relevant members can, if necessary, prosecute.

The national platform to combat the manipulation of sports competitions

Born in January 2016, the national platform to combat the manipulation of sports competitions is chaired by the Minister of Sports and has two training courses: preventive training, under the responsibility of the Director of Sports and supervised training, under the responsibility of the President of ANJ. He also reaffirmed France's commitment to go further in the fight against sports manipulation, ahead of the 2024 Olympic Games. Also mentioned was the cooperation between ANJ and the COJOP, structured around two areas of “training and monitoring”. . YAN will participate in actions to raise awareness of the ban on betting and the reporting to be done in case of risk of manipulation.
