The Belgian Gaming Commission (GC) commissioned market research firm Ipsos to conduct a survey of 1.000 young people aged between 18 and 30. The survey provides important information on their behavior, as well as food for thought and action to improve player protection.

Below are the main results:

The names of legal gambling sites are better known than the illegal ones. Among the 10 most popular gambling sites there are 6 legal and 4 illegal operators. 53% of those who responded to the survey have played at least once in the last 3 years. Most players have been playing for a month or less. Players mostly choose legal gambling sites (90%). For 36% of survey participants the difference between legal and illegal gaming sites is unclear. 46% of survey participants support restrictions on gambling advertising.
