The State Police, as part of the prevention and repression of illegal phenomena, has intensified its territorial control services, which have affected the entire province, through specific checks aimed at respecting the administrative regularity of public establishments.
In the past few days, the Administrative Team of the State Police of Chieti, together with the staff of the Public Security Police Stations of Lanciano and Vasto, of the Territorial Labor Inspectorate of Chieti-Pescara and of the Food Hygiene and Nutrition Service of the ASL, has coordinated numerous control operations at some public establishments located in the Vasto area, as a result of which serious administrative irregularities were found which led to the imposition of particularly harsh sanctions, both of a pecuniary nature, for a total of approximately 50.000 euros, and of an interdictory nature.
More specifically, at a betting shop a serious abuse of the license was found due to the presence of a minor intent on playing slot machines, the administration of drinks in the absence of the required SCIA, as well as the arbitrary opening of a further entrance not visible on the public road which effectively prevented the exercise from being surveilled. The Public Security Authority, therefore, promptly worked to provide an effective response, suspending the relevant license for a period of 15 days and inflicting the expected financial penalties. Same fate for a well-known bar in the Vasto area equipped with a license for collecting bets. In this circumstance there were two minors present inside the gaming rooms.
Finally, financial sanctions and immediate suspension of activity were imposed on a well-known night club in the province due to serious violations of the Consolidated Law on Health and Safety in the Workplace. In fact, the majority of the waitresses worked illegally and the employer had not prepared the risk assessment document, a very serious failure to comply given its function as a prevention of accidents at work and occupational diseases.
