Many gambling licenses for public benefit purposes expire in 2024. Licensees who want to continue providing gambling in Sweden must apply for a renewed license in time before the current license expires.
If an application for renewal of a license is submitted no later than four months before the expiry of the existing license, the license will remain valid until the Swedish Gambling Authority decides on the new application. This applies provided that it is the same legal entity requesting the renewal of the licence. From 1 July 2023, new registration fees will be applied.
