As part of the services aimed at combating illegal betting and verifying compliance with the obligations established by the legislation on public gaming, on the evening of Friday 29 September the Agents of the Administrative Police Division of the Monza and Brianza Police Headquarters, together with staff of the Customs and Monopolies Agency for Lombardy, carried out controlled access inside a building reported as a place where it was possible to place bets.

Specifically, once the operating personnel entered, they actually found that illegal gaming and betting activity was being carried out, ascertaining the presence of the legal representative of the company and of another person who later turned out to be the owner of a bank account on which shortly before it had been entered, by an unsuspecting player, a bet reservation through the use of one of the terminals made available to the club's patrons and on which access had been configured to make virtual games and bets. As the inspection continued, the agents ascertained how, for some time, this activity of organizing and collecting bets had been carried out illegally by the two subjects, within the premises, without ever having obtained the required license pursuant to art. 88 TULPS.

The operating staff therefore proceeded to administratively seize no. 7 terminal devices used for online gaming activities and an administrative fine of 70.000,00 euros was also imposed on the legal representative for the violation of art. 110 c. 6 and 7 of the TULPS, and both were reported for the violation of art. 4 of Law 13.12.1989 nr. 401 “Illegal operation of games and betting”.
