The Gambling Regulation and Inspection Service (SRIJ) in Portugal has released data on territorial gaming and online gaming activity for the 4th quarter of 2023.

In-person game data

In the analysis of the data referring to gaming played in casinos and slot machine rooms, the 3,9% reduction in gross revenues stands out, compared to the same quarter of the previous year. Gross gaming revenue at bingo halls increased 3,4% compared to the same quarter last year.

Online game data

In the data analysis, the increase in registrations of new players and self-excluded players of 6,3% and 41,6% respectively compared to the same quarter of the previous year should be highlighted. As regards the gross revenues generated by online gaming and betting activities, there was an increase of 16,4% compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
