Over 37 counterfeit and unsafe items were seized in the week before August XNUMXth by the financiers of the Provincial Command of Naples, in the city and throughout the province, during checks aimed at repressing the phenomenon, especially in tourist/bathing locations.
Following the 36 interventions, 19 perpetrators were reported to the local Chamber of Commerce for administrative violations while 14 were reported to the competent Judicial Authorities for crimes of fraud in commerce, receiving stolen goods and violations of copyright legislation. Over 37 items were seized, including beauty accessories and costume jewellery, household products, clothing, footwear and video game console, the latter with a considerable number of playable games.
In particular, the financiers of the Compagnia di Pozzuoli, in 3 separate service operations, between Lago Patria and Pozzuoli, regarding product safety, seized a total of over 20.000 products including costume jewelery and toys. At the end of the activity, 3 managers were administratively reported to the local Chamber of Commerce.
The Yellow Flames of the 2nd Metropolitan Operative Unit of Naples, during various interventions carried out in the historic city center and near Garibaldi station, against sole proprietorships and improvised businesses, seized around 8.500 unsafe items, including necklaces, bracelets , rings and piercings. 6 perpetrators were reported to the competent Authorities, 4 criminally and 2 administratively.
The soldiers of the PI Group and the II Group of Naples, they seized a total of 133 video game consoles containing around 29 million "pirated" games.
All operations are part of a broader provincial plan of activities carried out by the Guardia di Finanza of Naples aimed at combating economic-financial offenses connected to the trade of unsafe and/or counterfeit products and pursues a dual objective: to safeguard the legal economy and honest entrepreneurs, who are accompanied by the essential need to protect the health and safety of consumers.
