The director of the Customs and Monopolies Agency, Roberto Alesse, presented today the Anti-fraud action guidelines of the ADM prepared by the director Sergio Gallo who, since August, has assumed the leadership of the competent Directorate, responsible for the supervision of customs, energy and smoking products, public game. The Guidelines aim to give a strong boost to anti-fraud activity in conjunction with the administrative reorganization desired by Alesse.

Consistent with the unification of the territorial offices of the ADM, the new Guidelines define the prerequisites for the establishment of a single national anti-fraud network divided into three levels: the central anti-fraud structures (which deal with intelligence, investigations, relations with the DNA and the European Public Prosecutor's Office and the coordination of chemical laboratories), the regional anti-fraud offices being established and the "verification and anti-fraud areas". The Guidelines intend to harmonize all the activities of the central and territorial branches of the Agency, strengthening the fight against fraudulent import-export phenomena, trade in energy products and public gaming under concession.

The Guidelines, in fact, outline a concerted action, which will allow all central and territorial anti-fraud offices maximum operational coordination, and also outline an interesting scenario regarding the future and potential of artificial intelligence in combating fraud fraudulent.
“We are focusing on the important anti-fraud activity, the beating heart of the Agency, to relaunch its entire operations. These guidelines strengthen our action, carried out in synergy with the judicial authorities and the police forces, and project the ADM towards a more modern, dynamic and efficient administrative model" explained the director Robert Alesse.
“We are confident that we can achieve the ambitious objectives set by these 2024 Action Lines,” he said Sergius Gallo, “thanks to the uncommon professionalism of the Central Anti-Fraud Directorate but also of the local offices. We are living through the change of an era, we need competence and specialization but also a geopolitical vision of the world, to provide timely answers to the challenges that await us".
