The Court of Justice of the European Union has scheduled a public hearing for April 24th in which it will rule on the compliance with Community law of the technical extension fee for Bingo hall concessions. The news of the setting of the hearing was given by the Court offices to the tax lawyer Alexander Dagnino, co-founding partner of the Lexia Avvocati firm, which in recent months has obtained two referrals from the Council of State to the Court of Luxembourg in judgments on the legitimacy of the fee promoted by operators in the sector.

Last November the judges of Palazzo Spada returned to rule on the issue, reiterating, in response to a request for clarification made by the Court, the cross-border and community relevance of the issue.

"We are very pleased that the Court intends to address this matter in open court. It is in fact a clear signal of the importance that the issue assumes before the judges of the Court of Justice of the European Union“, the comment of the lawyer Alessandro Dagnino.
