The Customs and Monopolies Agency has sent information to the concessionaires of the hall bingo game regarding the "guarantees to guarantee the contractual obligations pursuant to art. 9, paragraph 1, of Ministerial Decree 31 January 2000, n. 29, and pursuant to art. 6 of the extension concession agreement".

Below is the full text of ADM's communication: "Companies holding concessions for the hall bingo game under extension are reminded that it is necessary to proceed with the extension of the effectiveness of existing guarantees expiring on 31 December 2023. These guarantees must be extended for the period from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2024 plus two years, until 31 December 2026, for defaults occurring up to 31 December 2024, for the total amount of €516.456,89. Alternatively, it is possible to deposit a new guarantee, issued exclusively by banking or insurance institutions, on first request, irrevocable and independent from the main obligation, with waiving the benefit of preventive enforcement of the main debtor and the exception referred to in art. . 1957, paragraph 2, of the Civil Code, lasting from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2024, plus two years, for an amount equal to €516.456,89. The guarantee in question must be received, with the digital signatures of the contractor and the guaranteeing company affixed to the same copy, by the deadline of 31 December 2023. Failure to deposit will lead to the start of the procedure for suspending the collection of the gaming and, ultimately , the forfeiture of the concession. Dealers are invited not to forward the forwarding of draft policies in order to obtain prior acceptance and to carefully examine the clauses before filing, in order to avoid problems related to the issuing of correction appendices.
