Tuci (Italian Horseracing Entrepreneurs): "To save horseracing, breeding must be safeguarded"

(Jamma) “There can be no horse racing without breeding. Today we have a serious problem of reducing the number of foals born, many are sold abroad and it will be a problem, in the coming years, to organize a substantial racing program due to lack of horses". This is what Enrico Tuci of the Equestrian Entrepreneurs said Italians. “It is necessary to safeguard the breeding and it must be done quickly – he continues – We have formalized the following requests with an extremely urgent nature:

– The payment to the Breeders of the Providences of 2011 and 2013 (95% to the Breeders and 5% to the Associations).

– Compliance with the distribution of the 2013 prize money to 2-year-old foals (9% of the prize money), so far totally disregarded.

– The Microchip insertion program for those born in 2013 with the registration date moved to 31 December.

– The review of the system for distributing prizes to Breeders considering the number and quality of horses racing abroad without affecting the Italian prize money due to Owners”.
