Tuci (Italian horse racing entrepreneur): 'Horse racing forced to surrender'

(Jamma) “Due to lack of resources, exhausted, this morning the Italian Horseracing was forced to surrender – declared Enrico Tuci, of the Italian Horseracing Entrepreneurs, in a statement. Our deepest sympathy to all the operators who, in every part of Italy, have chosen not to declare departures their own horses. Unfortunately we still don't have any certainty about the availability in a short time of the resources that we are entitled to and that we have earned for 8 very hard months.
For this reason we are giving maximum support to the Regional Committees which are working to organize striking forms of protest which I hope will in any case remain within the legal framework but which will have to be strong and distributed throughout the Italian territory.
It is with these activities that we hope to reach the newspapers and national television channels, so take action in the same way implemented a few months ago.
I assure you that, in the meantime, we are putting pressure in every way on the 2 competent Ministries so that within a few days we can have some certainty about payments.
