The comment of the association of public gaming concessionaires following the approval of the online gaming reform by the Council of Ministers
Agic, the Gaming and Entertainment Concession Association, welcomes theapproval final of the legislative decree on online gaming. “Representing the main public gaming concessionaires (IGT, Lottomatica, Sisal Italia and Snaitech), Agic positively evaluates this first step towards an overall reform of the sector, based on a more modern, safe and innovative vision. This approach - explains the association in a note - is fundamental to guarantee correct industrial planning that adapts to the changed market context, ensuring an adequate and truly effective concession system in the long term for consumers, the dealer network and operators of the sector".
“After years of fragmentation and extensions, the measures included in the decree represent a significant step forward in a sector still characterized by inconsistent legislation. The need for a complete and organic reorganization to protect players, guarantee legality and contribute to making the gaming market increasingly transparent is now evident. Agic is committed to actively collaborating with the competent authorities to ensure effective application of these new provisions, always keeping the objective of promoting a responsible and sustainable gaming industry at the center", concludes the note.
