“The political-institutional activity of the Italian Tobacconists Federation and the Sports Totore Receivers Union continues, especially that concerning the public gaming sector. The topic, in fact, is hot, very hot indeed: as is known, the reorganization work has now entered into full swing and started from the online segment. A few weeks ago, just a week apart from each other, FIT and STS attended auditions at Senate and Camera of the Deputies, to discuss with the competent commissions (respectively VI Finance and Treasury, and VI Finance)". This is what we read in a note from FIT.

“A few days, and it was the turn of the last, very important appointment: the one with the Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance, Maurizio Leo. Last February 22nd a delegation from FIT-STS and AGIC was received from the Hon. Leo, at the headquarters of the Customs and Monopolies Agency in Rome. For FIT and STS, the FIT National President, Mario Antonelli, took the floor first and, after a presentation of the category and the role of direct concessionaires of the State, passed the floor to his colleague Emilio Zamparelli. The President of STS – continues the note – focused on the more technical aspects of the decree for the regulation of the online sector (also the subject of previous hearings in the House and Senate, Editor's note) but also provided some considerations on the future structure of the game physical, which will be the next fundamental stage of the reorganization and which, ultimately, interests us even more closely. In particular, Zamparelli, taking up Antonelli's words, highlighted the central role of the tobacconist receiver within the collection system, a role which we hope will be maintained in the future.

Together with FIT-STS, also AGIC, the newly formed association of the major gaming concessionaires in our country (IGT, Lottomatica, Sisal Italia and Snaitech), with which FIT and STS have recently opened a permanent working table. The presentation was entrusted to Gennaro Schettino, who is the President of AGIC. Also speaking were Massimo Passamonti and Michele Sessa, directors of institutional relations of Sisal Italia and Snaitech respectively, who - as profound connoisseurs of the market - offered further reflections especially on the revisiting of the online sector. In the wake of the hearings held, the meeting with Deputy Minister Leo confirms one thing first and foremost: the recently opened working table between FIT and STS and the major gaming concessionaires is producing its fruits. And never before has it been strategic like this: we are at the last mile of the race and FIT and STS can only give the sprint", concludes the note.
