“When the game is no longer a game”: the presentation of the book by the Hon. Paola Binetti with AS.TRO and the State Monopolies

(Jamma) – On Monday 20 May, in Bologna, at Palazzo Gnudi, at 15 pm, the book by the honorable Paola Binetti entitled: "When the game is no longer a game and becomes a damned serious business", will be presented of an initiative promoted by the Association to address the problems of lawful gaming in the round.

The meeting will be attended by Lawyer Massimiliano Pucci, President of Assotrattimento 2007 and Vice President of the “Sistema Gioco Italia” of Confindustria, Dr. Daniele Stella, Director of Aams Emilia Romagna, Dr. Claudia Rubini, Provincial Councilor of Bologna and Riccardo Maestrelli, Vice President of AS.TRO and manager of the Novarmatic group.

With this initiative, "the gaming world" reaffirms its willingness to dialogue with all the realities that deal with our sector, also and above all with those who believe they need to highlight the non-positive social effects that are assumed to be connected to the excessive expansion of the product and of the service.

Mr Binetti's book is a reason for reflection for all operators, but above all for raising awareness for all the institutional and entrepreneurial realities that believe in the need for a lawful and public game, rigorously controlled and seriously managed with procedures dictated by the State. What the lawful gaming industry must be able to "demonstrate", therefore, is its current and future suitability to respond to an institutional mission that is additional to that of tax performance, and that can effectively be extended to that of consumer protection that illegal gambling can never aspire to.

The book, as explained by the author herself, is aimed at those who love to play, as well as those who have had some problems in the game, but also those who work in the gaming sector and who govern this economic and productive sector. Hence the meeting in Bologna, where the points of view of insiders, institutions, politics and medicine will be compared, towards the common goal of the well-being of the consumer in the gaming chain. That is: the player.
