Italian farmers therefore want to draw attention to the critical situation that has arisen and which is putting their business to the test. To date, in fact, there are many still unsold foals, which cause a loss of income and an increase in costs, which consequently prevents the payment of the foals born in 2023. The stopped market with no news on the horizon will bring about a qualitative and quantitative involution of the production of the Italian trotter, nullifying all the efforts that in recent years have made the success of our champions, representatives of Made In Italy in the world, possible. It would truly be a shame to lose a heritage built with so much effort, and we expect Masaf, in this particular, very delicate moment, to act with strategic choices and concrete and rapid measures to support Italian breeding, the driving force of the agricultural horse racing supply chain".
