Entrepreneur Horse racing. Italians. Let's save what's left of the farm

(Jamma) “While there is time – reads a note from the association of Italian horse racing entrepreneurs of the trot and gallop – we must intervene immediately to save what is left of Italian breeding! Surely in the coming years the rules will change and a circuit will develop, and consequently a market, for the European horse, and we must not lose this recovery opportunity.
We still have top-level structures, skills and genealogies but the institutional uncertainty of recent years and the consequent death of the Italian market caused by the total lack of programming are seriously putting all the companies in crisis and caused a worrying drop in births.
Paradoxically, the most qualified and structured companies have been the most penalized and we have already lost illustrious names that have made the history of Italian horse racing. We need to reverse this trend because the future will only be linked to quality and the medium-low product will have no market.
To save what still exists in terms of quality, it is necessary to immediately implement a three-year breeding plan which establishes new and certain rules on the programming of 2 and 3-year races, supports breeders of quality horses that run at abroad and help the Italian livestock farms with a program of benefits and with the acquisition of European contributions.
Every day we remind Mipaaf that Italian farmers are still waiting for the money from the 2011 provisions (included in the Unire budget) and those of 2013 (included in the Assi budget), that we begin to distribute these resources due to those who represent the base of the supply chain horse racing!”.
