In the Tuscany Region, the mandatory training for gaming operators established by regional law 57/2013 and subsequent amendments and by Council Resolution 344/2020 has started.
AS.TRO, in collaboration with Staff and Cedit, has made their respective skills available to structure a training course which, in line with regional legislation, is capable of increasing the 'safety' of gaming environments.
The training course activated is in fact aimed at the prevention and reduction of pathological gambling through the recognition of risk situations, the activation of the support network and the general knowledge of the current legislation on legal gambling, with particular regard to the sanctioning regulations and the possible local regulation;
The training courses foreseen by the Tuscany Region will have a total duration of 8 hours (2 hours for the managers of premises dedicated to gaming on a non-exclusive basis, such as tobacconists) and provide for the discussion of various topics, in particular:
- the characteristics of addictive gambling;
- the mechanisms of Gambling Disorder (GAD);
- the identification of signs of risky behavior and the methods of relating and communicating with the gambler at risk;
- the territorial network of support and care services to be activated in case of need;
- the current legislation on legal gaming, with particular regard to the sanctions and local regulations and the legislation on gambling advertising and consumer rights.
The training meeting - structured into two educational modules (socio-health and legal) - will be held on December 21st, with the legal module being discussed by the lawyer. Isabella Rusciano of the As.tro Study Center, at the Cedit headquarters in Florence.
