“We welcome the approval of the legislative decree for the reorganization of the online gaming sector by the Council of Ministers. The reform, aimed at guaranteeing greater protection for players and combating pathological gambling, represents an important step forward in regulating a delicate and often problematic sector”. He states it Martina Donini, national president of Udicon (Consumer Defense Union).

“The regulatory system places strict limits on dealers – adds Donini -, thus helping to limit illicit activities and prevent money laundering in the context of online gaming. The obligation to trace all financial flows and winnings is a fundamental step to ensure transparency and legality in the sector. Furthermore, we appreciate the measures aimed at protecting players. The presence of self-limitation measures for gaming, automatic messages during gaming that inform about spending levels and the presence of mandatory information content on gaming sites are important tools to combat pathological gambling and promote more responsible behavior" .

“As Udicon we have always been active in raising awareness of the dangers of gambling and will continue to play our role in promoting awareness among consumers and offering support to those who need it. Through conferences, projects and initiatives, we will continue to commit ourselves to combating pathological gambling, which represents a threat to the balance and well-being of individuals and families,” she concludes.
