“The analysis of the new regulation is a topic we have been debating for years. I always remember that the observatories, which today are the instrument at national and regional level in which solutions are sought, the operators are completely absent, apart from the enlightened case of the Campania Region. Among the positive notes of this first decree I would include communication for responsible gaming, carried out both with national campaigns and giving operators the opportunity to communicate with consumers, raising awareness of consumption. For me, this aspect is among the positive elements because it brings us closer to the objective which will also be fundamental in the last part of the regulation, that on retail, i.e. the clear, profound and transparent responsibility of operators not only for legality, but also for consumer protection".

“We should try to play a role even before the convening of the Consulta cited by the decree. I see a light because we are trying to overcome the complications that have existed for many years. There are doubts about the distance meter among many political exponents and they are starting to exist among some technicians too. Especially in this phase, the centrality of the operators must be considered, those who have the first contact with the public, also looking at technological evolution in this field. To date, the merchant is only in contact with those who enter the point of sale, with a view to future concessions we must also make a leap forward in the digitalisation of points of sale and in supports in order to leave the game in non-nominal retail. We need digital devices that allow us to better filter the offer and support the gaming operator in achieving the objectives of legality and consumer protection. There is work to be done in the coming months and we must bring our ideas to these tables."
