“In November 2023 we have had a very detailed enabling law for a few months which I hope will allow us to interact with all the problems that have arisen over the years regarding the gaming offer. Over the years, the main changes for some gaming products have been those in taxation, generally in a restrictive sense for the offer. The picture today should be an overall one, otherwise there is the risk that by dedicating ourselves to some verticals before others, the structural problems of the sector will not be resolved, making them more complicated. Differentiation between gaming verticals is very important to us. In 2022, not considering collections, more than 50% of gaming spending takes place in generalist points, more than 30% in specialized rooms and less than 20% in online gaming. These weights should be considered in support of the thesis of the need for an overall and contemporary reorganization of the entire sector. In our opinion, to make the most of the delegation opportunity, it is necessary to maintain the attractiveness of the distribution networks and a balanced offer between the various gaming verticals. It's all related, separating pieces can generate risks. Finally, delegation is the opportunity to give operators a role in addiction prevention activities."

He said so Emmanuel Cangianelli (in the photo), president of EGP-Fipe, speaking at the conference "Legal gaming: uniform rules to guarantee safety, legality and law", organized by the Milton Friedman Institute at the Sala della Regina of the Chamber of Deputies.
