A training requirement has been established for managers of betting centers and gaming spaces with cash winnings, for 8 hours of training in implementation of Tuscany Regional Law 57/2013 and subsequent amendments and Council Resolution 344/2020, with the aim of preventing and combating illegal gambling, protecting consumers and raising awareness among managers and sector workers on the issue of gambling addictions, in a way to enable them to monitor the possible onset of gambling addictions and to activate appropriate support services.

Tobacconists, who are recognized with training credits already acquired in previously held qualifying courses, are obliged to participate in two hours of training.

The Tuscany Region and Confcommercio Toscana have entered into an agreement in order to spread the culture of Responsible Gaming and actively contribute to the promotion of a healthy and safe entertainment service. Therefore, in collaboration with FIPE-Confcommercio Toscana, FIT/STS, EGP FIPE and ACADI, training courses dedicated to the topic of Pathological Gambling Disorder (DGA) were created.

The objectives of the course are:

  • Spread and strengthen the culture of Responsible Gaming, providing information on current legislation regarding legal gaming, consumer rights and gambling advertising.
  • Explain the characteristics of addictive games of chance and provide a definition of addiction and the mechanisms of gambling disorder.
  • Provide useful information to identify the signs of the onset of the pathological disorder.
  • Illustrate the tools that the territorial network makes available to direct people potentially affected by ADD towards a path to combat addiction.

La deadline for compulsory training is imminent, failure to comply with the training obligation entails a financial penalty (from €1.000 to €5.000) and closure temporary use of the business and gaming machines by means of seals.

The tobacconists, who are recognized as training credits already acquired in qualifying courses carried out previously, they have the obligation to participate in two hours of training.

  • Edition BETTING ROOMS and PUBLIC SHOPS (8 hours), Monday 23 October 2023 09.00-12.00, Monday 30 October 2023 09.00-12.00, Monday 06 November 2023 10.00-13.00, Thursday 30 November 2023 14.00-16.00, Thursday 7 December 2023 14.00-17.00 , Monday 11 December 2023 14.00pm - 17.00pm, in PRESENCE at CONFCOMMERCIO FIRENZE in Piazza Annigoni 9/D.
