Slot, the Lombard regional law does not revoke existing licenses

(Jamma) The recently entered into force Lombardy regional law on slots and licenses for amusement arcades is valid only for new installations and not for authorizations already issued. This is what the questore of Pavia, Ivana Petricca, explained during the meeting he had with a delegation of the noslot movement of the Lombard city.

In recent days, the president of the Lombardy Region, Roberto Maroni, went to Pavia to present the regional law that regulates slots and during the meeting he declared to the press that he was ready to revoke the old licenses as well if the machines did not respect the minimum distances from sensitive places imposed by regional law, which however only speaks of new authorizations.

There are, he explained, three types of "distance meters": the one that applies only to new installations, as in the text of the Lombard law; what applies to new installations and renewals of expired authorizations such as that required by Ligurian law, and what applies to all installations, even those already authorised. Hence the decision of the SenzaSlot.it collective to request an intervention from the commissioner. "At this point - said Mauro Vanetti, Ludovica Cassetta, Pietro Pace and Paola Schintu - we ask for an urgent meeting with the police commissioner of Pavia so that we can proceed with the revocation of the authorizations for the installation of machines issued by the Police Headquarters to public places in our area in violation of the distances established by the regional laws and by the local police municipal regulation".

That meeting took place, in the presence of the municipal councilor Walter Veltri and Francesco Polidoro del Sel and the local police, following up on an outcome that certainly did not satisfy the promoters.
