(Jamma) A massive inspection operation was carried out in Rimini in recent days which led to the inspection of 110 public places where slots were installed. The Arma has employed over 100 Carabinieri for a check prepared within the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Security, carried out in collaboration with the regional offices of the Autonomous Administration of State Monopolies, for the prevention and repression of illegal gaming, gaming safety and the protection of minors, established with a specific decree law of 2009. The checks made it possible to ascertain the regularity of the devices installed and controlled by the Arma in over 110 public establishments in the Province of Rimini.
The news obviously passed in absolute silence, deliberately ignored by those who in recent times have been acting as a megaphone for the misdeeds of the "lords of the vending machines".
Instead, we believe that due importance should be given to this news, not so much as a confirmation of the professionalism and correctness of the companies subject to controls, as for the value of the data which assumes particular importance when compared with others.
In fact, only a few weeks ago the data relating to the control activity of the Guardia di Finanza in the many public establishments in the province were released. Data that highlighted a situation of irregularity in line with the national average: in 2012, out of 3052 checks in public establishments, 1309 violations were detected due to failure to issue tax receipts. 42,88% of the checks found irregularities, an increase of 5,61 percentage points compared to 2011.
'Distracted' when it comes to issuing the receipt, the exhibitors (and managers) instead prove to be very careful in complying with the many obligations regarding the management of gaming machines. The most frequent violations, in general (and this is not the case for Rimini operators) refer to bureaucratic obligations rather than to the regularity of the devices. In this case promotion with full marks: with honors.
