Senigallia: approved odg to make citizens aware of the risks of gambling

Senigallia: an odg to offer incentives to those who give up slots

(Jamma) The agenda presented by Mario Fiore and Simeone Sardella in the City Council of Senigallia concerning the adhesion of the Municipality of Senigallia to the "Manifesto for the legality against gambling" was voted unanimously.

Senigallia thus takes an important step and gives a decisive sign to discourage the installation of gambling and video lottery machines. As already noted and reaffirmed in other circumstances, the dependence on this type of game, which has been legalized for several years now, is on the rise: Senigallia, in this, wants to avoid the spread of gambling halls in the area, helping and promoting instead among citizens , the founding values based on work, commitment and talents.

The approved agenda (pdf) also provides for an agreement with the Pathological Addiction Department of Senigallia, information and awareness-raising meetings on the risk associated with compulsive gambling and gambling addiction in general at schools and at the social centers of the various territorial fractions of the city of Senigallia and of the area subtended by the ATS 8. Finally, we will take charge, through the parliamentarians elected in the Marches, including the Hon. Enrico Letta, to make everyone aware of the commitment to produce a new framework law against gambling.
