(Jamma) The Companiei Naționale Loteria Română (CNLR), the Romanian gaming operator which manages the gaming and lotteries market under a state monopoly regime, will shortly have around 10.000 video lottery-type terminals at its disposal. This is thanks to a call for tenders in which, according to rumors, the Austrian Novomatic, GTECH/Spielo, Inspired Gaming International, Scientific Games and Synot (Czech Republic) participated. Adrian Mișu Manolache, director general of the CNLR has formally invited these companies to submit an offer and to declare their willingness to supply the gaming system and terminals which must meet specific technical requirements. There are also two 'financial' conditions: a bank guarantee worth 20 million euros on the fulfillment of all contractual obligations and a bank guarantee on a profit of 75 million euros for Companiei Naționale Loteria Română. According to rumors published in the Romanian press, and not confirmed, Novomatic would be awarded the supply of 10.000 terminals.
