The police commissioner of the province of Teramo has ordered the suspension for 15 days of the license for the exercise of the betting collection activity and that relating to the installation and use of VLTs for a betting shop in Alba Adriatica (TE) .

The measure was adopted, upon proposal of the Carabinieri, pursuant to art. 100 of the Consolidated Law on Public Security, which provides the Police Commissioner's power to suspend the licenses of public establishments when they are "habitual meeting places for prejudiced or dangerous people" or constitute, in any case, a "danger for public order, for public morality and good customs or for the safety of citizens".

In fact, from the checks carried out by the personnel of the Carabinieri and the Administrative and Social Police Division of the Teramo Police Headquarters, it emerged that the betting room was constantly frequented by people with police records (in many cases repeated) for injuries, theft , robbery and above all for criminal and administrative offenses relating to narcotic substances (personal use, possession and dealing), one of which is subject to the oral warning prevention measure.
