The Gaming Authority (KSA) of the Netherlands will carry out inspections of slot machine arcades across the country from mid-December. Particular attention is paid to the implementation of the duty of care.

From 1 April 2021, the legal duty of care for slot machine arcades has been further extended. This means that operators are obliged to prevent and limit gambling addiction as much as possible. KSA supervisors will carry out checks, among other things, on compliance with addiction prevention requirements.

At the end of the audit period, the KSA will publish the results and, if necessary, adjust the guidelines on the website.
